1995.....Feeling a bit drowned in
emotions of sorts, so spare me guys! I cannot be more indebted to
anyone other than my beloved grandmother whose death became the
primary causative factor for this journey of mine. After my dadi was
diagnosed of abdominal cancer and we were told by the doctors at
AIIMS that she does not have more than six months in her hands, my
father and uncles were all searching for some alternative medicine
which could at least subdue the pain. My father, being a doctor knew
in his heart that the said “Six Months” may be too long a period. |

Once my wife Malini, myself, Dr (Mrs) J Das and her husband (Mr
Mohanty) from Bhubaneswar were at Moradabad with Baba. Suddenly I
asked Baba whether the materialization of physical objects out of
nowhere is illusion or can it really take place? Baba replied that
it can be both. Baba told something more about it, the crux of which
was that:- By a truly spiritual person it will be a realty but by
hypnotism etc the illusion can also be created. I with my limited
intelligence understood only a part of what Baba told us. |

Prior to last year, my wife and I were not such ardent devotees of Shri Shridi Sai, though we believed in His greatness and had pasted His picture with both His hands raised in blessing, on our bedroom door. In April 2005, my wife, Lakshmi, had to undergo neurosurgery for a Pituitary Tumor that had recurred after about 5 years. Prior to the surgery we were tense and worried as it was a major and critical surgery. |
